hi allesandro,
the site administrator should be able to add and remove subscribers for the newsletter.

rinze,if you want that the administrator to manage the subscription i think that the workflow doesn't fit your (and my) needs, because in this way ALL the user created are programmatically subscribed to the newsletter
i don't want it: i want to create a new user and then add him to the newsletter list...
i think we have to search another way
in the other post you told me you are expecting some code from the ez crew... what about it?

we should continue this conversation through email, cause our debating probably won't serve the community ;-). You can reach me at: rinze[dot]cats[at]planet[dot]nl until I have installed icq, which will be tomorrow evening at best.

The workflow suggested earlier in this thread plus the admin templates being worked on athttp://www.ez.no/community/forum/developer/new_notification_system_for_preventing_spam
Could be combined to create a fairly powerful bulkmail system. All new users are automatically assigned to the newsletter folder which they can opt out of through their notification settings and an administrator can edit and delete users notification settings as well.
Is this close to what you had in mind? I am hoping to combine these solutions myself.

hi jamesyes, this is what we (me and rinze) want to have: the maximum difficulty is that a 3rd person (the administrator) should have the possibility to subscribe/unsubscribe other users to the mailing list. This could have another goal: let's imagine a company that uses this system as an internal mailin-list : the in this way the administrator can know to whom the mail is sended (i.e. who is really knowing the news): none can say that doesn't know the subject of the mail!
i know that rinze was working on the mailing-list workflow published in the contributions section, but i don't know if he has been able to make it work.
best regardsalessandro
