With the new persistence interface it will be possible to develop sophisticated storage engines which can handle large amounts of objects.
Possible candidates:
- Advanced storage engine for RDBMS with optimized database model for content
- Couch DB Storage engine
- Specialized ORACLE storage engine
- Storage engine based on Solr
