Hi all,

Following a very good experience with ezpublish in the past, I decided to use it now for a colleage who is looking to promote a new business venture.

I have an old PC I would like as the server, this is:

pIII 550
190Mb Ram
8GB HDD
cd/dvd
10/100 3com nic

I have installed Ubuntu base config with no GUI to save ram, and run the installer for ezpublish.

I checked the ip was being taken from my netgear router - all seemed fine.

However, when I try to access the web-based config part of the install from another machine on the LAN I get no response from the server.. "page cannot be displayed"

I can ping it ok, am I doing something wrong, or missing something?

I have tried going to /opt/ezpublish/bin and restarting, with no apparent problems.

I am using port 80, just in case it's relevant..

Any pointers would be great, many thanks in advance

eZ publish require at least 256MB ram, that old PC is good for network router, or print server. Try to upgrade. Probadly PHP parser die before send data to web broswer so this is why you have error "page cannot be displayed" or firewall blocks access from remote machines. Also you can check if apache directory is accessable without eZ publish.
