Hi Everyone,

I second Abel's request for information on RSS import.

The only (somewhat detailed) documentation I can see is over three years old, and I haven't managed to apply it in 3.9.0.

I suggest we need to develop EZ documentation that follows whole processes - from initial configuration of a function to achieving the desired outcome. Forum activity tends to provide spot answers to problems, but not the whole process.

I've been using EZ for over three years, so I have a few clues at least. Still I burn vast amounts of time trying to figure out whole processes from small clues in forum posts or technical documentation. This is just too slow, too costly, and too inefficient.

I suggest that whole process documentation is now becoming critically important to the value of EZ Publish and the health of the EZ Publish community/ecosystem.

<b>If someone can provide the main elements of how-to information on RSS import, I'd be happy to document this up so we've got a clear and complete explanation that everyone can use.</b>

I suggest we really need to shift up a gear on this front. Can anyone help?

I've had good luck with the RSS code. It does some have some bugs - meaning there are some feeds that it won't work with.

This is a nice extension from Xavier Dutoit

Thanks Betsy, I've experimented with Xavier's extension and will do some more with it soon. It provided some extra clues I needed to work things out.

Abel, I've managed to get RSS import functioning and have written some documentation that is now available here:

(Note that I wrote this from a native EZ Publish perspective rather than using Xavier's extension mentioned above).

I hope this helps.
