I've uploaded eZ Publish 3.3.1. The Wizard at index.php gave 5 issues. The core of it seems that I need to get into php.ini and change some values, and also chmod some files.
My host says:
"We do not offer shell access. The changes below is only possible if you own the server. No shared web host is going to make those changes, sorry." If that is true, there must be many, many, many, sites on which eZ P can not be installed. You can take a look here: http://ls4.us/expindex/index.php if that will help answer my questions. 1. Should I be able to run on this host? From other questions on this forum, I get the impression that I should be able to. Also, from the Requirements I think I should be able to run it on my current host. 2. How do I change php.ini as suggested by the Wizard? 3, If I must go to an different host, what question must be answered to make sure it will work? Is it, "Do you permit shell access?" I'm comfortable with html and ftp-ing, am just beginning to learn a bit about php, and am mostly unknowledgeable regarding Apache. However, the eZ Publish info led me to believe that I could get this up and running. I will appreciate any help you can provide, as I think this is a great program.
