In a multi site environment, how can one limit the access from the admin interface to the other siteaccesses not relevant to oneself website ?

Is this the main difference between the administrator and the editor ?

Or is there another way of configuring ezp to allow multi independant sites without overlapping the siteaccesses ?

Set up each site as a separate Section and create an editor role for each site. Then assign the new roles edit access only to the section that they are associated with. That should keep the sites separate, while ensuring your admin login is still able to control everything. If you need more control, you could set up a couple of different roles per site, providing each withdifferent levels of access.

Does this help?

The section solution would be good when using only one database. Correct? My configuration implies different database for each site. I'm more thinking of a super administrator that would be able to modify global ini system settings for all sites at once. The second level would be for administrators to be able to change only ini settings related to their sites. The question is: can one see its own siteacccess through ezp without seing any of the other siteaccesses on the server? Is there a way to restrict access to some siteaccess?

Here is an example of the problem: all administrators from different sites, although they have each their own userID and Password, their own siteaccess and database, anyone could actually access the Common INI Settings, the Toolbar Management the Menu management and the INI Settings from others siteacccess and change them at will! How can we prevent that?
