I have site made with ez 3.4.3.
I would like to upgrade site to ez 3.5.

I got idea to export information in ez 3.4, and import in ez 3.5.
But every time, when i try to import to 3.5 the package generated with 3.4.3, i get error message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/vytis/www/humanitas.lt6/kernel/classes/ezcontentobjecttreenode.php on line 3980

Can someone help me to solve this problem or to offer any other way to upgrade site?

Hi,

Why didn't you follow ezpublish documentation on how upgrade from ezp 3.4.x to 3.5 ?

It should work

Problem is bigger, than i thought... my site is running on ez 3.4.1.

So, according instructions, i have to install 3.4.2 and tranfere data to that version, then install 3.4.2 and tranfere data to that version... and so on...

Is any way to make this process more easier, and not so time consuming?.. :(

Hi,

Actually, the process isn't so time consuming , once you get used to do it you will realize that

Beside downloading ezp several times, it should not take more than a few minutes to upgrade

VERY IMPORTANT, backup your whole setup (files and DB) before start upgrading

But on step

# siteaccess news_admin
./update/common/scripts/updateiscontainer.php news_admin

i got error message

Fatal error: eZ publish did not finish its request
The execution of eZ publish was abruptly ended, the debug output is present below.

How to find what is wrong?

Hi,

Have you any debug output ?

Have you cleared all caches and compiled ezp after upgrading to ezp 3.4.4 and before upgrading to 3.5 ?
