I have a csv file which contains user details. I need to import the data
such that it fills 3 classes (depending on which profile user is
associated). It also needs to check if user is already present, if not it
will insert the details.
I have used the data_import extension. It just create the necessary
folders but i wasn't able to fill the 3 classes.(3 different profils) Any
idea how this can be achieved?

Hi Viraj

This is exactly why I don't like data_import and why I'm currently developing another import extension. Did you try ezcsvimport script (in bin/php folder) ?

Hi Viraj,

Could you test the default CSV import handlers shipped with data_import ? Do they work properly ?

Let us know,
Cheers,

Hi Jerome,
Can you please give me more details on the ezcsvimport script please. Sorry am new to ezpublish, can you please guide me on how to use it

"

Built-in ezcsvimport script is quite simple... Just type this command line from your eZ directory :

php bin/php/ezcsvimport.php --help

You'll get all available options. I guess best way to import your users in your case would be to split your CSV into 3 (1 per category) and then use ezcsvimport to process them
