I have just installed eZ publish, and I cannot find any editor buttons when I'm writing articles or folders. Anyone who knows where I can configure this? Thanks!

Hi,

Have you set the right .htaccess rules as described in the eZ Online Editor manual? Without these settings OE won't work....

Hi - thanks for your quick reply!

The problem is that we cannot access the web server's root.

Hi,

You only need access to the root directory of you eZ Installation. There you have to save the .htaccess File... Only the apache rights have to be set correctly (allow htaccess overrides).

If you do not get access to the frontend toolbar, even as admin user, the problem might be similar for any restricted area in the frontend (try for instance the "My profile" button after login to frontend). If so, the problem has been resolved in 4.1.1 and you can fix it by downloading a new version of "lib/ezutils/classes/ezsession.php" from here:
http://pubsvn.ez.no/nextgen/stable/4.1/lib/ezutils/classes/ezsession.php (to folder /lib/ezutils/classes/).

After downloading you may need to do the following:
- php bin/php/ezcache.php --clear-all
- login in admin backend
- go back to frontend
