I'm thinking for instance about the admin site, which has it's own template etc - I want all communication on this site to be using https and not normal http.
say i go to http://www.mysite.com/admin
Is there a way to force the page to be reloaded with https? using the template? other ways?

This is something that should be done on a site by site configuration basis not in the templates.

I'm looking at adding a configuration directive that if enabled checks if the connection should be secure and redirects to the https:// site.

I'll post it to the contributions when I've finished - probably in a week or so.

Cheers
