It's possible to have 'and' and 'or' in attribute_filter

Hello all.
I am trying to fetch objects with nested attribute filters. Something like :
'attribute_filter', array( 'and', array( 'or', array('class/1attr1', '=', 'xx'), array( ...) ), array(...) )
I looked on ez.no, share.ez.no, blogs and ezpedia and i know there is a solution width extended_attribute_filter.
This ezpedia articles mentions a post from André R.http://ezpedia.org/ez/extended_attribute_filter but the it is no more available on share.ez.no
