How to apply an operator depending on some condition

I have in my template code the following part:

cond(some_long_condition,some_long_variable,some_long_variable,some_long_variable|ezurl)

So I would like to use |ezurl depending on some condition.
Is it possible to do it some more simple way?
I mean something like this:

some_long_variable|cond(....ezurl)
