Discovered that the check box for disable translations enable the class editor to make translations class specific - excellent thanks. I was about to ask a question but for the life of me I couldn't work out what to explain but have since solved / discovered how to do it.

however something that I have noticed is that when editing a class that is in this case rather complex, unless you know the language well that you are adding (copy/paste) in the translations for there doesn't seem to be any other way to discover which language it is ... this is what I was thinking at least since I was working with the url hidden - but if you keep the url viewable you can see the locale info, ie. /siteadmin/class/edit/16/(language)/esl-ES
Might be useful for non multi-language peeps like me to have a give away flag somewhere in the ez admin page that reminds you what language you are editing?
