Is it possible to edit articles in the pending list? I use 3.8.0.

Hi there.
What do you mean by "pending list"? Are you talking about "drafts"?

I have a copy of the article class that's called "article_datetime" in which i added datetime attributes for start publishing and stop publishing. When I create an article which is to be published in the future I find it in my "pending list" under my account in the admin interface.

My problem is that I can not edit theese objects. If I want to change anything in my article I have to wait until it is published.

I have found entries in the forum that indicates that other people had the same problem. I would like to know if there is a way to edit objects in the pending list i ez 3.8.0.

From what I have seen in past discussions not a way to do this currently with eZ Publish.

I spoke in great detail with eZ and another partner in person (during a training session) on this subject and the result of the conversation (as I recall) was a clear no (without some manner of hacking the system to introduce a modification in the way you describe

That said I think eZ is a system which can be improved so if someone wanted to augment eZ to support this behavior in some way and contribute a patch these features might one day be more accessible to all.

Your turn ... ;)

Hi,

Unfortunately, we didn't have time to discuss this in skien, but yes, there is a better solution:

create a new "to be approved" section visible only by the admins.

I've got an extension that change the section to "to be approved" (event) and a view to change the section to "default" to make it visible again.

Not sure if I put it on project yet. I've got a few templates to create the approve button and the all, but I haven't modified the admin templates to integrate it (I do everything from the front office).

If there is one willing to modify the admin templates, I'll be delighted to grant him svn access on project.

Anyone ?
