When i log in to the administration pages from the public part of my web page, i get redirected to the wrong (actually the old) URL.

I press the login link (from my frontpage) and get a new page where i can put my username, password and check the checkbox that suggest logging into the administration section of my site. If i dont check the checkbox everything works fine. If i check it, i get redirected to the old URL.

old URL:
www.site.no:8080

new URL
www2.site.no

Everything else works fine, it is just this part that hasn't got updated information about the new address. My concern is that this value is static from install, and i have to edit it directly in the database somewhere.

has anyone seen this before?

Have you checked the [SiteSettings] in the site.ini of your administration siteaccess? Maybe the old url is still listed there.

Yes, the old url was listed there.

AdditionalLoginFormActionURL siteaccess

"http://www.site.no:8080/aspit_admin/user/login"

i changed it to:

AdditionalLoginFormActionURL siteaccess

"http://www2.site.no/aspit_admin/user/login"

I saved and tried to log in. But now i only get a blank page when i try to log in (so im locked out of the admin pages). I looked in the ini file (actually an append file), and it looks like i forgot to set this value:

[SiteSettings]
SiteName=aspIT AS
SiteURL=www2.site.no (the old site was listed here too)
LoginPage=embedded

Now i think i just have to clear the cache and all will work, but is there a way to do this without logging in to the admin pages? I can log in directly on my webpages to publish articles and so on, but i cant find the clear cache option here.

Yes but you have to know the url and have access to the setup part, look at the url when you click 'setup' in the admin interface.

But if i cant access the admin interface, how am i going to click setup? Perhaps i misunderstood something, could you please explain in more detail what i should do? Im kinda stuck now, and i need to get back to working with the pages.

I read the docs and i noticed the referral to the cache folders, so i figured out that the clear cache function deleted these files. I backed up my configuration and deleted the content of these two folders:

\eZpublish\ezpublish\var
\eZpublish\ezpublish\var\ezwebin_site\cache

Everyting looks fine now

Thank you for your help all, i really appreciate it !
