Using eZ sitecopier

For the most part we are having good luck with eZ sitecopier, but we are running into some confusion. We have followed the directions in the readme, but for some reason images are not copied over. Also, neither of us can see how the server detects whether a cached page exists.

One last thing, we have set it up with two virtual hosts but are not sure how to set it up to use the eZ publish search, but ensure that the search results point back to the cached site. The search is set up as a GET, for which we have added a reqrite rule exactly like the one for POST in the readme.

If anyone could shed some light on the situation we would be very grateful.

Hi,

The images will not be copied over. SiteCopier is simply a scriptsolution to mirror over your webpages as static (non-php generated) pages. The images are picked from the normal filetree..

The rewriterule is the one responsible for checking for the static version of the page. It does so with the RewriteConditional :
RewriteCond /var/www/ezpublish_static/yourdomain.com$1index.html -f

(The -f at the end of the line means, this file has to exist)

If there is anything else, please feel free to email me directly aswell.

Regards
Denis

Also, as long as the search result URLs match the normal sites URLs the search thing should not be an issue..
