Hi all,

I need to create an user who is able to log in and edit (and read) only a subtree of my site. How can I do that?

home
|
|-Document
|
|-SubFolder
| |
| |-News no1
| |-News no2
|
|-Media
|
|-Other...

I want he (or she) is able to see & edit only the subfolder:

SubFolder
|
|-News no1
|-News no2

I tried more than once to change the editor group roles but it isn't so easy...

Thanx

Hi,

login with your admin-account to your admin-interface (eg. index.php/admin) and then:

1. Click on "Setup" in the main navigation
2. Click on "Roles and policies" in the left subnavigation
3. Click on "New role"
4. Give the Role a name an ckick then on "New policy"
4. Coose module "content"
6. Click on "grant acces to one function"
7. Coose function "read"
8. Select class, section, owner if necessary
9. Select the subtree (in your case "SubFolder") by clicking on "Add subtree"
10. Click on "OK"

Repeat steps 4-10 for module "content" and the following functions:
-create
-edit

And if there is need to:
-move
-hide
-translate
-remove
-pdf
-translations

After your done click on "Ok" to store the role. And then on "Assign" to assign the role to a usergroup or a single user.
