Hi

I'm setting up a Debian 3.1 server and ran into a problem with the APC accellerator.

Using Apache 1.3.33
Php 4.3.11

these work fine

Tried APC 3.0.6 and 3.0.8 with the same result.

The install readme file says to run
/usr/local/bin/phpize
from the APC source directory, to create a configuration file.

The error I get is

/usr/local/bin/phpize: line 105: aclocal: command not found

Anyone tried this and have an idea what could be the problem?

Thankful for any suggestion.

Knut

Well, I'm not quite sure that the ez forums are the best place to discuss about APC.

I use a mmcache (there is a package from unstable) :
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/web/turck-mmcache

and it works fine.

I had good success installing eaccelerator on Sarge. I compiled it by hand, but it was easy enough.

Yes, I know its strictly not Ez specific topic. :)
But, hoped someone might have ran into the problem.

Thanks for the replies though, and I might try one of those accellerators. I started with APC, since it was mentioned among the accellerators recommended, and the first one on the list of those.
