Error trying to install forum package on 3.8

Hi all :)

I got this interesting reply from the system when I tried to add the forum package to an eZ 3.8 installation:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/sites/madeingrenland.no/www/kernel/package/install.php on line 107
Fatal error: eZ publish did not finish its request

The execution of eZ publish was abruptly ended, the debug output is present below.

But no debug output was present and i couldnt seem to find any related info in the error log either. Anyone have the foggiest what is causing this?
