Please explain if I could under GPL licence do the following things: - install ezPublish on customer site (customer will pay for installation, not for software - so I believe I will not distribute the code) Yes, you may install eZ publish for customers and sell your services under the GPL. This will still be distribution, but is ok as log as you follow the GPL licence. - create customer site by creating: configuration in admin, designing graphics, design layout and creating set of custom templates. I would like my customer to pay for all that activities
It is ok to sell your services under the GPL licence. Also see: http://ez.no/products/licences/licence_faq/part_2 Additionaly, in GPL description you have the point "All distributed copies shall carry an appropriate copyright notice, that this software is based on eZ publish made by eZ systems". I reviewed sites from your reference list - the notices are not unified. Could you please explain how exactly this notice should look like No, you do not have to have powered by eZ publish on your website, but you can not write anything else instead (only if you have a professional licence). We are of course happy that you use it since your website will be a good reference for eZ publish. The copyright is for the software not the website.
