Or, better yet, how do you get SmartViewCache to work? Try as I might, I cannot get the view cache to clear when publishing an object. I turned the view cache on, and got an immediate speed improvement. The rendering of one page went from 2.2 seconds to 0.4 seconds, for example. However, changes to content would not appear unless the content view cache was cleared. I did some research and discovered the Smart View Cache system. It was enabled, so it strikes me that it should have been working, but it wasn't. I decided that since this is a small site, I don't really care if the entire content cache clears whenever content is published, so I shut SmartViewCache off. Nothing changed -- content changes still required me to clear the cache manually. I went ahead and disabled SmartViewCache everywhere -- global, global overrides, all siteaccesses. Nothing changed. I've read about everything possible on it, included a FAQ that said I need to add site designs to the AdditionalSiteDesignList[] setting in content.ini. I did this. Nothing changed. Is this a known bug? There are a couple bug reports on it, but they claim to be fixed. I'm on version 3.7.2.
