Hello folks,

I'm trying to import data from Joomla 1.5 to eZpublish. With the help provides in this topic http://share.ez.no/forums/install-configuration/moving-site-from-joomla-1.5-to-ez-publish-4 Now I have a CSV with the content of my Joomla articles.

Heath tells me that the extension I was using it's similar to the Default import script of eZpublish but I don't know where to find and how to use this import script.

is this import tool in the ez administrator? Can anymone provides me a link with information of how to import data into content articles of ez?

Thanks!!

Cheers

Hi Alejandro

You should give a try to SQLIImport. This is a generic extension allowing you to handle all the imports you want, whatever the data is. Moreover, it has a set of classes for CSV management ;-)

Hi Jerome and Gaetano,

Thanks for the info!! I'm goint to check sql import and the script.

I have a question about the use of the script. If I want to use the script I have to use the command line , don't I?

I was trying to execute the bcimportcsv script with this:

extension/bcimportcsv/bin/./bccsvjoomlacontenttablehtmlimport.php 68 extension/bcimportcsv/var/example.csv article . I write this command when I 'm in /var/www/myez$ . is the correct directory to launch the script?

Thanks!!

Cheers

Hello

Yes in both cases you will need to run the scripts from the commande line. The only thing to know is that you need to run every CLI script from the root of your eZ Publish instance (like in your example).
