Hi,

I have created a forum on my site but notification system doesn't seem to work.

There are two parts to my issue:

1. the user is able to click the 'keep me updated' button which adds the node to user's notifications (I can see it in the admin) but the email is not getting sent. Do I need to enable some cron job?

2. I have added a checkbox to 'topic' content type so the creator can be notified when a reply is received. How can I connect this checkbox to the notification system?

Hello Pasha,

Most people forget that notification are not sent real time.

Instead by default they are stored within the database and
sent when the 'notification' cronjob is executed.

php runcronjobs.php frequent
