Macromedia Dreamweaver is a well known editor used by designers and web professionals using Mac or Windows.
Lukas Serwatka has contributed an extension for Dreamweaver which enables syntax highlighting for eZ Publish templates. The extension also enables a special eZ Publish toolbar for inserting eZ Publish template code snippets like if statements and loops.

Emacs is a well known editor in the Unix world used in application development for decades. It is highly configurable to the extent where jokes are made that ?emacs is a good operating system, it just lacks a decent editor?.
Jan Borsodi has developed and contributed a configuration file for Emacs which is tuned for eZ Publish development. This is the editor and configuration used by most of the eZ systems developers.
