i use chinese in my site, so i find if short title of the article is english, such as "test", so the link in user site will be like /index.php?/v1/news/test, it looks great. if short name is in chinese, the link will be: index.php?/v1/news/node_94. this is very ugly.
so i have a workaround, using chinese in title, english (maybe meansless words) in short title, it works good. but in admin site all name of artiles under folders are short title. it is reasonable to use titles as names, for this field is required, but short title is optional. moreover, this will benefit multi-byte language user. thanks!

Hello Kevin, We are working on some kind of transliteration system that should convert chinese characters into a romanized version, similar to what you see here: http://derickrethans.nl/translit.php This would work for chinese titles, right?
