It seems a glaring inconsistency that Role definition information doesn't use the same draft/version/publish model that most other objects in EzPublish do. Since I've encountered a lot of role/permission issues that have required a lot of incremental edits (in order to make sure I assign just the minimal permissions needed to accomplish certain tasks) a draft/version system would have made my life a lot easier, and my configuration a lot quicker.
