Hi,

As I'm currently checking out eZ, I was wondering if people with enough experience could write a brief article explaining why people should go for eZ over the miriad of other open-source solutions listed at http://www.opensourcecms.com/

Also, as a web browser is really a poor solution to edit contents, I'm curious to learn more about Desktop Edition, which seems like a dedicated application developed in GTK. Can you tell us more about what this utility is for?

Thank you
JD.

as long as I know, Desktop Edition is based up on Qt, not GTK.

And you can use it to modify your content on your web through it.

Thanks Lui for the tip :-) Too bad no trial version is available to give it a try.

Hi

The desktop edition (DE) is for the eZ publish 2.2 system only. It will not work with eZ publish 3. I just wanted to mention that:-) You will get a test licence when downloading the DE. This licence you can test with the 2.2 demo at http://publishdemo.ez.no/.
