I would like to see ez pub come with a built in media gallery that can be used to make selections from. Instead of uploading an image in an article i would like to choose from an existing one is a defined media gallery.

Mamboserver has this down pat.

This feature is already there. In the object edit you can click the magnifying glass icon under "Related objects". This will let you browse for images.

Or are you suggesting that eZ publish should include an image gallery, complete with images? I don't think that will happen. It would mean uneccesary bloat for those who do not want the images. It could be done as a third party add-on package.

I think I understand what you mean Alan:

If you create an object ie. the standard Article-class, then the Article-class has a Image-datatype as an attribute. This is useful for making templates that places the image at the same positition for all articles with image.

You cannot select this Image from the already uploaded images in the Media-folder (or elsewhere in eZ). You have to upload it from your harddisk.

The image you put into the Article-object-image-attribute will not become available in the Media-folder unless you upload it here also!

So an image in an Article (not related image), is not easy to reuse in other Articles.
