Ok, I FINALLY got EZ Publish installed on my hosting server with the very basic layout "Package" themes.

Now I would like to change the theme package to something a little prettier and was able to upload another package. I was following the instructions on this tutorial on how to change the theme:

http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/ezpublish/ezpublish_themes.htm

BUT I do not seem to have the "Design" tab that they are talking about. UGH!

You can see a snapshot of the tabs I have here: http://jacksonhartsfield.com/eztabs.jpg

So did I do something wrong or have I just not installed everything yet??

I am brand new to EZ so please forgive my ignorance but thanks in advance for the help!

Hi Jackson

I'm happy to know that you finally managed to install eZ :)

About the design tab, it has been hidden by default in 4.3, so as the shop tab. You can of course unhide it in one of your menu.ini override (let's say settings/siteaccess/your_admin_siteaccess/menu.ini.append.php) :

[TopAdminMenu]
Tabs[]=design

Clear your caches and you're done ! :)

Hi,

Or you can follow Setup/Sections/Design/Website Interface/edit

then select Sitestyle that you want to use and

Send for publishing + clear cache

Hi Jerome and Peter,

I found the menu.ini made the changes and the tabs now appear.

HOWEVER, on the left side I only have "Look and Feel" and "Toolbar Management." "Menu Management" and "Templates" do not show.

Should this really be this difficult?

There is much about EZ that is difficult. But I did not find those tutorials particulary useful myself. If you dont have a lot of time to spend on it, then I suggest you use a more mainstream CMS. EZ is extremely powerful, but you have to put the time in if you are hoping to reap dividends. I have been messing with it for two years and still consider myself a novice. Good luck.
