Strange behaviour after installing translation

I am translating my into dutch at the moment. I started out in english. Yesterday I installed my (partial) dutch translation and set ezp up to use this translation. Then I translated all the articles and other entries into dutch, so they where available in english and dutch. Then I changed the site.ini.append.php to use dutch as the main language. Today I found out that when editing an existing article (or other entry) every attribute shows up twice. So there are two entries for 'name', 'description', etc. When I create a new article there is only one.

I only want to use the dutch translation and remove eventually the english texts. Can anybody tell me how I can solve this and 'restore' the normal behaviour again?

Thanx
Jan

More info on this subject: What I did wrong.

After installing the dutch translation and translating all items in the folders, I first switched languages in site.ini.append.php: Locale=dut-NL

Then I checked if it worked and I did not miss anything. It worked perfectly. Then I also changed:
ContentObjectLocale=dut-NL

And then in the setup removed the english translation. All the english texts are now suddenly seen as dut-NL in the database. I checked i.e. the table ezcontentobject_attribute and removed all versions of an item where I could guess it was the english version (starting at version 1, dutch came in later). Then checked the editing of this item again, and it showed up in the correct way.

Conclusion: by removing a translation all items that have an entry in the database for this translation, these items get automatically an existing language. If you then try to edit such an item, the attributes of that item doubles.

I do not think it is a bug in ezp3, but it might be an unwanted feature. If anybody has a good suggestion how to solve this in an easy way, without starting again, I appreciate that.

Thanx,
Jan

Well, I had ez running perfectly until I switched the translation from English to German. After I deleted the English translation, nothing worked. I could only access the admin site, but the content of all folders could not be looked at. On the normal view I've created came the kernel error 3.
So, basically, I can't access to my site and I really don't want to start again.

I would be very glad, if someone could tell me what exactly went wrong and what could be done to fix it.

cheers,
padEE
