Hi,

While searching the site.ini configuration file (for the magic parameter that speeds up your ez site a hundred time), i've noticed this parameter.

It is said :

Controls whether expiried cache-blocks with 'subtree_expiry' parameter will
# be removed from disk immediately or not.
# If enabled it should increase performance of large sites but you should remove
# expiried caches manually or using cronjob 'cronjobs/subtreeexpirycleanup.php'.

My question was, what does activating this parameter concretely does ? Why doesn't it apply to cache-block that do not have subtree_expiry specified ?

Thanks !
