Hi,

I have a site with a lot of images (12 000).
Each images has keywords which are indexed for the search engine.

I need now to add more languages for the site but it will be a real hard job to translate the keywords for each image.

What I want to do is to make a single generic translation based on the default language (FR) of the site.

In example if you search for "plane" in the search engine, it will returned all images with "avion" keyword.

Is there a way to perform this ?

Another question about this, I will have probably about 5000 keywords, so that way, the system should check all the keywords for each search.

I'm afraid it will slow down the site. really ?

Thanks.

Laurent.

How's the site supposed to know how to translate stuff?

You could perhaps patch the search and translate the keywords to french, then search for the french version?

Yes I'm thinking about a file, a kind of translations.ts based on a french version but I don't know how to apply this.
If you have any hint for that it will be welcome.
