Hello!

I want to set up an protected area within my eZ publish intranet site. At the moment, the whole content is public (Role "Anonymous" assigned to the anonymous user) and login is not necessary.

I created an folder and want, that just users of a specific user groups can access this folder.

I tried to give the anonymous user the role "Anonymous" with limitation to the parts of the tree structure, which anonymous users should be able to view. Almost everything is fine, but now anonymous users aren't able to view the "main page" (the folder on top of the content structure) anymore.

How to solve this problem? Is it possible to deny access to content by role?

Thanks for your help,

Daniel

Hello,

First, you have to created a section (private) : Setup part "Section".

Second, you creat a new group of user (exemple private group) and after user in this group.

Third, you creat a folder in the content structure, exemple "Private folder". And you have to associate the section "Private" with this folder.

Finally, you have to fix the role and policy for the new group.

Good luck.

PS : a good french tutorial http://www.linuxorable.net/ez_pascal/index.php/linuxorable/trucs_astuces/utilisateurs_et_groupes_d_utilisateurs/acces_par_login_et_password
