Hi,

I have a class article. And each article has one or more related PDF.
My problem is how can I do this ? And how can I specify where the uploaded file will be stored on the server ?

Thanks for your help.

Hello Alain,

You can easily add pdf (and other type of) files as related objects through article edit interface:
1. using on-line editor click on 'insert object' icon. Insert object window appears.

2. Now you can choose either to upload a new file or to add an existing object.

3. If you choose 'Add new', interface for uploading a new file appears.

4. From the drop-down under location, you can choose where this new object will be placed.

Hope this helps.

Hi !

It works for all file type like .xls .jpg .xyz... but for the PDF files it doesn't work !!! I can upload the PDF files but when I try to open it, the file cannot be find. Nevertheless the PDF files are in the same directory as the other files... (xls, jpg ...)

Do you have any idea ?

Same problem here. Did anyone find a solution to this anoying problem? I'm running version: 3.9.4 (3.9.4) - SVN rev: 19743.

I pretty much ruled out error in permission-settings as a possible. Seems like pdf-files are simply no good. Uploads seems fine in administrator interface, but following message is shown when trying to open the in article:

Error / kernel (3)
Object not available.
