Hi !

I got problems to override the forum reply template (forum_reply.tpl), this making me crazy :-(
when i use the debug output it tells me that the template is located in
design/base/override/templates/edit/forum_reply.tpl

I tried to make a new template override in the admin interface and changed the new file and nothing happened, the most strange is that the debug output still give the original template as the loaded template !!!???

...perhaps this template can't be overrided ??!! do i have to change the original file ? any idea ?

thanks
Kalul

It can be overriden, I've done it (it is, in fact, already being overriden in the default install, you'll have to change that file). Did you clear the cache?

It should already exist in the override folder. Be sure to change that one!

I have exactly the same problem, I have created the override file and I can see it in the correct directory but it doesn't work, when I modify the override the page remains the same, like if the system is not reading the override, I don't want to modify the original file so what can I do?

Update: modyfing the edit/forum_reply.tpl in design/base does nothing, while the same template in design/mysite gives me access denied (perhaps is in use?).
I'm using versione 3.6.0, I don't know if it is important.

Hi !

To let u know how i've done...and it worked !

I've modified the template located in desin/base/override/templates/edit/forum_reply.tpl directly to change the design.
I had to modify also the form and for this i've created a new override template for content/edit_validation.tpl

It's seems to be the good way !?!
