hi there,

Has anyone tried "Print Preview" in Opera and Mozilla FireFox.

In IE, "Print Preview" is previewing the page from the url:
http://www.sitename.com/layout/set/print

But when you do the same thing in opera and mozilla the url is given below

http://www.sitename/

In other words, in internet explorer, Page Content is only displayed. No header, no footer, no menus, which is right, but why it is not working in other browsers.

Please help

Did you click on the link in Mozilla and Opera?!? Or did you simply use the print.css stuff?

Thanks Gabriel, for your kind reply and help.

I am not clicking any sort of links. It is just from the browsers "File->Print Preview".

Cheers.

Regards.

Hi John,
i only can confirm this.
Have a look at the HTML code: eZpublish will create a line as
<link rel="Alternate" href="/layout/set/print/blabla/bla" media="print" title="Printable version" />

It seems to me, as only the Internet Explorer does use this "Alternate URL". Sadly, but true. I had reported this to eZsystems earlier, but it's not an ezPublish issue. For the other browsers, you should add an "Print View" Button in your pagelayout, that links to the same URL.
