Hello

I am trying to create a user that just has access to one folder and all objects under that folder.

I tried to create a user on top-lever (not under editors), and created a role that had following rules:
1. all modules, all functions, no limit
2. user module, all functions, no limit

Then a chose that this role will be limited to one user and correct folder / subree.

When i look at the user, i see that it has correct access rights and role.

Problem is, that when i try to log on admin pages with this username and password, it says that it can not show the page because i do not have correct access rights.

What is correct way of defining access rights for a user, to be able to log on, and edit just one folder tree?

Thank you in advance,

Hi Victor,
Im assuming that you need the user to have editor access, rather than just read access to the site.

Depending on your version of ezpublish you can do a couple of things.
Add the user as an editor with a limitation on the specific subtree (test it, as there was a bug up until about a month ago that caused problems).
or (and I dont have a default roles installation anymore, but this is what we do):
The editor role specifies what a general editor can do, ie login to the admin interface and use the online editor. Then we have other roles which specify what can be editted for specific user profiles (so a news editor, can only create content within that subtree/section).

Hope that helps.

cheers

Arran
