Multiple Sites administered with one admin site

Is it possible to have say an intranet site and a internet site being managed from one admin console?

If so, what would be the best way to accomplish this?

Reason I ask is we would like to get our intranet up and running with Ez Publish, and eventually move our internet site over aswell. The biggest reason is for publishing articles in multiple locations or sites.

Am I way off in my thinking?

Thanks,
John

We are in the planning process of a site with similar specs. We plan to use two siteaccesses, and one database. Both siteaccesses will use the same database in their settings files, but all other settings will be independent. Can anyone else confirm that this will work as intended?

The questions I have seen raised are in regards to search results, direct links into pages (templates not knowing which design to present with the content).

Good luck...

Thanks
Mark

It should work without any major trouble as long as you don't expect to have true seperation with regards to templating priviledges (content administration isn't much to worry about).

As for chosing the right template, that's inherently done based on the siteaccess, so no sweat there at all. Depending on the size of your site performance could be better with seperate installations, obviously.

With seperate install bases I would need to publish the same content twice right?

Things like a cafe menu and public documents are what I really would like to make available yet only be edited in one place.

Thanks,
John

In that case I'd use a single install, yeah.
