Hi everyone,

I have some problem with user login, and I can not figure out what could be the cause.

I have 2 users (members) A and B. I login as A, then logout, and then login again, but this time as user B, everything is ok, except the fact that at top part of site there are logout(user A), and if i want to edit profile i go to edit page of user A.

If I clear the cache at admin panel, and press f5 on the page everything seems to be OK now.

is this really a problem?

if you clear your cache and the issue is resolved, you're good to go.

where a user may not go through clearing cache, your users also probably won't have two accounts that they simultaneously monitor.

if it's bothering you, access account A via Firefox, access account B via Internet Explorer ;)

hi, thanks for reply.

yes, it is a problem, because, even though i clear the cache and then refresh site, if i logout and the login as user A, i got the same issue (got data of B user).

I think in general the problem is: if i login as a some member it log in but it takes lastlogged person data.

It is very weird, because the site was working ok for several months and it has over 30 members and it was everything ok, this problem came after adding 2 new members two days ago.

Any ideas?

You don't happen to use 4.1.0 (or was it 4.1.1) are you?
This is a known issue with these versions, so you should probably look into updating your site to 4.1.3 if your' using earlier versions of 4.1.

:-) I'm using 4.0.2....so I think it is time to make some update work.

Thanks for fast reply!

If you're on 4.0.x, then your not affected by the bug I was thinking about. It probably won't hurt updating to 4.0.6 of course, but I'm not aware of such a issue on 4.0.2.

Are you able to reproduce it when you use two different browsers like cubby mentioned?
If you can't, then its almost certainly browser cache

Hi!, Unfortunately I'm able to reproduce this problem on different browsers ( i tried on opera, firefox and ie ) :-/ but, I found that if log in and I have data of other user and then press "my profile" it show some "Access denied" message but it also switch to proper values, and from this point it seems to be working everything ok.

Any ideas now? My server administrator is curently on vacation, but maybe it is some www server issue?

What kind of page is this? custom or more or less pure webin/flow?
Do you have the same problem in the admin section?

My best guess is that you have a custom pagelayout or modified webin/flow pagelayout where the cache hash for the cache-block's around the header are to aggressive.
So if User A is normal user, and user B is admin user, then you will be able to edit User A's profile. But you won't be able to do that if you login with two normal users that don't have access to edit each other, hence the 'Access Denied'.

Try to reproduce it again, and instead of clearing all cache, clear one by one using the checkboxes, my guess is that 'Cache for templateblocks' will help.

Hi there,

I have the same problem on the ez publish version, I have to support. It is ez publish 4.0.1. Clearing the cache doesn't help. The users always gets mixed up.

@kuba kuba: were you able to solve the problem?
