I want to create a member section that is only visible to members! http://creative-noise.com/index.php/ger/Press-Partner This should be a login-box and after a login content should be visible. I really dont know what to do and i couldn find anything "maybe easy" here by using the search-option! Do you have any ideas? Thanks for your support!
Bertrand Dunogier	Wednesday 23 June 2010 12:32:31 am Hi Timo ! First, you need to restrict access to the Press-Partner folder / container. This can be achieved in several way, but the easiest one is to apply a custom section to it. First go to Setup / Sections, and create a new one, named for example Press-Partner or whatever makes the most sense here. Then use the assign button to assign this newly created section to your Press-Partner node. Right after you've done this, trying to access this page as Anonymous should prompt a login screen. This is because the anonymous role is only allowed to see content from the Standard (default) section. The next step is to create a new user role (or re-use one of the default ones, like Members), and grant members of this role the content / view / Section( Press-Partner ) permission. Finally, assign this role to a (new) user group. From now on, any user that is part of this group will be able to login and access this content. Robin Muilwijk	Wednesday 23 June 2010 12:39:40 am Hi Timo, Have you checked the following doc page already? http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/4_x/concepts_and_basics/content_management/sections With sections you can also limit access to certain content for groups (members) you have setup. It would probably require a custom template to show the login box when a regular visitor opens such a restricted link. Does the above help you out continue with setting this up or do you need further information? Timo Bahr	Wednesday 23 June 2010 3:18:45 am Thank you so much! But i created a testuser and if i try to log it into the area a error-message comes up: Access not allowed You are not allowed to access ger. Any Ideas?
Robin Muilwijk	Wednesday 23 June 2010 3:48:06 am Check which roles and groups the new user is in. Looks like it does not have access to the "ger" SiteAccess. Normally when you have a group, the Anonymous role is linked to it, this contains the rights to access siteaccess. Jurica Perić	Thursday 25 November 2010 6:41:21 am That message means that you have created role and user group but you haven't assigned role to a user or a user group. You can do that by opening page for viewing that role and below you will have button for assigning that role to a user or a user group
