Hi,

I have a client which has 2 Trade Marks and wanted a site for each of them.
The content will be more or less the same for each sites so we need only on DB.
The design will be exactly the same except logos.

Which way the best ?
An installation based on site access or contents based on section ?

It's not really clear for me...

It seems that the first option needs to have one design folder for each site but as the design will be the same it doesn't make sens.

The second one seems to be better with 2 "root" folders in admin (site1 - site2) and locations added for contents we wanted to see in each folder.

Did someone faced the same questions ?

Regards.

Hello Laurent

I just can tell you that you do not need two design folders if you use two siteaccesses.I usually have one site access for each language but all of them use the same design folder.

If you want to have two different root folders you have to have two siteaccesses anyway, otherwise your user will see the same startpage for each trademark.
Still I think sections might be useful to tell which content belongs to which trademark. Of course you could always add a selectbox to each class for trademark1, trademark2 or both.

Hi Claudia,

Thanks for your response.
It appera that siteaccesses will be necessary for 2 URLs
