I would like to create a professional website with your basic about us page, services, contact us, links, etc. I've done some experimenting with the administration interface and found myself having a difficult time trying to figure out how to make a particular section of this site with restricted access. I would like to be able to prohibit all but a specific user group from accessing portions of this site. For example, a page located @ home/company accounts/knight enterprises; I would like to assign a password to protect all of the files/articles in the knight enterprises section of the site. It would also be ok if I had to create users from the admin section and email those users with the correct login information to access sections similar to this. Any help would be greatly appreciated

You will need to create a new section from the Setup tab (/yoursite_admin/section/list/) in the admin for this.

Once you create the new section, assign it (from the same screen) to the parent folder that you want to protect.

Then, create a new role in the User tab that will have access to the secure area. The only rule will need to be content module, read access, to the new section that you have created.

Then assign that role to a user group, and all users in that group will be able to see the content after logging in.
