I have just installed a 3.3.4 version of forum CMS package, in an attempt to mimic or integrate the forum features of the package into an already existing 3.3.4 version of the plain package.
A few points:
1. is there an easier way of gathering packages into one system using the same database? For example I would like to add the forum and gallery system to my already set up plain package, and use the same database so that my members/users are all common (and work with a common admin) 2.The freshly installed forum site doesn't seem to be working properly. It seems to always present the logged out state, even once you register and login. If you visit a forum you are still presented with the log in advice "You need to be logged in to get access to the forums. You can do so here" and none of the buttons are visible to add or modify the fourm. Interestingly when I went back to the forums demo site, and followed the same procedure I encountered the same problem. Registered forum users are presented with the site as an anonymous user is meant to see it, with no buttons for modification. Any help or thoughts much appreciated. ben
