Hi,

I'm trying to overriding line.tlp for the folders :

1 - override.ini.append

[line_folder]
Source=node/view/line.tpl
MatchFile=line_folder.tpl
Subdir=templates
Match[class]=1

2 - I created the "line_folder.tpl"

3 - Clear all the caches

Niet :o(

Is that template can't be overriding ? (?!?)
Any suggestion ?

Thanks.

Laurent.

- What errors are you seeing?
- Does the admin/templates view tell you your override is in place?
- Are your file permissions correct for the new file?
- Put your override to the top of all overrides. I've found the order is important if you have other overrides working on the same source file...

Hi Paul,

- What errors are you seeing? -> No error. The template which is used is the line.tpl
- Does the admin/templates view tell you your override is in place? -> I looked in the admin>settings>Templates but I can't see the templates I have created before (just the design/standard/templates) - I don't know this part of the admin very well :(
- Are your file permissions correct for the new file? -> Where can I set that ?
- Put your override to the top of all overrides. I've found the order is important if you have other overrides working on the same source file... -> I tried but till no result

In the admin/templates section you should see a link for: node/view/line.tpl. If you click this the system will tell you its understanding of the overrides in place. If you see yours then it should be active. Its a quick test to see if ez has understood your override. Have a play with this.

Your new file line_folder.tpl may be on the system with the wrong permissions. Usually this appears as an error on the page saying it can't open something, but it depends on your debug settings/cache etc. Your new file needs to be readable by the web server. Permission problems are something i forget a lot :)

How did you create this file? By hand on the file system?

Btw, whats your system? Linux/XP?

Keep going :)

ok !
In admin/templates I have the line.tpl. With the set button on the correct site design I have this :

line_folder design/landivisiau/override/templates/line_folder.tpl class : 1

So I understand the template is correctly set by the system.

For the permission problems, I have already created many templates without any problem...
Do I need to declare something special for this template ?

The file was created by hand.

And finally I'm working with XP pro.

Thanks for your help :-)
Laurent.

Im not sure of the permissions needed for winxp, as i work with linux. If others work then that should work as well.

Just a thought. You are using the line view but is your template calling for another view like full?
