The demo data of eZ 4.0.0 Flow package comes with a flash video "Conference Video", it can only be played if I logged into local server, it cannot be played by other computers. The virtual server works fine without errors. I set on full debug mode but the log doesn't show any warning message.

By following the guide as follows:
http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/4_0/concepts_and_basics/configuration/access_methods
http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/4_0/installation/virtual_host_setup

and, according to Sandra Aprente:
Virtual host setup for eZFlow Friday 11 January 2008 10:51:55 am Sandra Parente
For eZFlow, the flash directory must be specified this way:
Rewriterule ^/extension/[^/]+/design/[^/]+/(flash|stylesheets|images|javascripts?)/.* - [L] otherwise .swf file are not loaded.

I have already added the rewriterule into the httpd:conf:
Rewriterule ^/extension/[^/]+/design/[^/]+/(flash|stylesheets|images|javascripts?)/.* - [L]
I have restarted the Apache services, re-booted the server, the video is still not loaded and played.

I spend over 4 days for this and no further ideas what would be wrong. Please HELP!

Thanks!

Hi,

Just remember to put good host in configuration in Live Recorder object. It can't be just 'localhost', better put there ext IP or host, something which is accessible from other computers in network / internet.

Hi, Thanks for your reply.

But, the object is file and uploaded into eZ Flow, no place (should be no need to) specify the IP or URL.

Please HELP!

And, one interesting thing:
If I only add new VirtualHost in Apache httpd.conf with other PORT, say 8080, (and NO any changes to eZ settings), other computers can have the video played thru port 8080.

One more interesting thing:
If I change the newly added virtualhost's port from 8080 to 8081, other computer CAN have the video played thru port 8081.

Pls HELP HELP!

I finally find why about this problem after 6 days.

It is because the the media player uses "http_allow_content_disposition" while the firewall blocks this part of the HTTP services.
