Santosh, are you speaking of an event like a meeting or an event that will start a publishing process within the system? If you are speaking of an event like a meeting or party you should set up a class by clicking on the Setup tab then clicking on the Content link and then click on the New Class button. You can then decide which fields you want to be associated with your event such as start and end times, a description, location etc. Once you have defined the class you can add a new entry just as you would for an article and use the same basic code for displaying it in a table, or any other way you wish.
