hi!
i have installed ez3.0.2 with only one language (german). but some text in the admin tool is shown in english. where should i change the english text to german text. in the templates for the admin design or is there a single file for translations?

What texts are you talking about?

Some texts, such as class and attribute names, are part of the content. They are stored in the database. To translate them, go to Setup and edit the classes.

The texts of the user interface are stored in the file share/translations/ger-DE/translation.ts. This is an XML file, edit it with Linguist. See the translations page under "eZ publish 3" for more information.

i meant the text in the user interface. e.g. buttons. some are in german and some are in english.
i think i have to edit the template files

I think you did not download the new language pack

The one that comes with the 3.0.2 is pretty old.

I think all phrases are translated with ez linguist.

I got here 3.0.2 and eveyrthing looks fine.

thanks.
i have installed these files
but some buttons are still in english. e.g. the button "add location" should be "Zu Bereich hinzufügen". after press the button "add location" ez3 print out "Durchsuchen - Homepage der SPÖ
To select objects, choose the appriate radiobutton or checkbox(es), and click the "Choose" button.

To select an object that is a child of one of the displayed objects, click the object name and you will get a list of the children of the object."

or the button "store draft" should be "Entwurf speichern".

should i change this in the templates?

You can change this in the template, but the best way (both for you and other German users) is that you update these strings in the translation file and send it to us so we can share this with other German users.

Check http://www.ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/translations for information about this

i have read the translation file and it looks ok. the translations are in the file. but i without effect. additional i noticed that all words e.g. frontpage, trash, my trash etc. are all in english and not in german. however the translations are in the translation file.
could it be that there was something wrong during the ez3 installation.
after installation at the point registration (i press skip registration) it comes to this error message:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /usr/local/typo3/htdocs/ez3/lib/ezi18n/classes/ezcodepage.php on line 92
Fatal error: eZ publish did not finish it's request

The execution of eZ publish was abruptly ended, the debug output is present below.

but after closing the browser and reopen the site it seems ez3 works without the correct translations ...

maybe this is the translation problem?

Try installing this
http://ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/contributions/30_second_timeout_remedy
and then remove all files in var/cache/translation and reload the page.
