Did the naming convention of pagelayout_section_n.tpl change?

Hello,

I'm new to eZpublish and am right now trying to understand the different directories, files, structures, etc. by studying the demo subdirectory.

As I have seen there is a change between eZpublish 3.0-2 and 3.1-1. Now the different /demo/override/templates/pagelayout_*.tpl files are no longer named e.g. pagelayout_section_1.tpl but pagelayout_news.tpl.

I'm a little confused right now. Will the "old" naming still work? Or is the new naming just a little bit more convenient and complementary to the old naming? And how are the new filenames derived, where do I have to look for to give my files the right name (especially with blanks in section names)? E.g. I have a section called 'Teams' would I have to name the template file pagelayout_teams.tpl or am I free to name it like I want?

TIA.

Dirk

Yes, from 3.1 a more powerful template override system was introduced:
