Controlling RSS output

Bjørn Torkel Dahl	Tuesday 19 June 2007 6:48:48 am Hi all.. its good to return from the dead :) I have the following issue: I need to control wich articles in a folder that is sent to the RSS export, depending on class and content of some of the attributes. Is there any simple way to do this? I've not been able to find any templates or similar to control the RSS export, and I've been look ing quite throughly. Site runs 3.6.4, if this is possible with an upgrade, that is ok, but i need to know. :) -- btd -- btd

Peter Putzer	Tuesday 19 June 2007 11:58:10 pm Oh you can use templates to create an RSS view. Just create an "rss" pagelayout and set the right content type for it in layout.ini. Then you can use /layout/set/rss/content/view/rss/<node> to view an RSS representation of the specified node (you have to provide a template for the "rss" view mode, of course). I'm currently working on a set of custom templates for http://pluspunkt.at - the basic scheme is working, but I haven't had the time yet to finalize all templates. Therefore, I'm still using a hacked version of the "rss syndication" extension on the production site. Accessible website starting from eZ publish 3.0 (currently: 4.1.0): http://pluspunkt.at

As pointed out above, there is no one (and no thing) stopping you from creating your own rss design and rss siteaccess, outputting rss info instead of (x)html.
