Hello,
I have switched to italian the language of the admin interface by putting in site.ini.append.php:

[RegionalSettings]
Locale=ita-IT
TextTranslation=enabled

So far it's ok. But then, if I also add

ContentObjectLocale=ita-IT

strange things begin to happen. The content that I have previously created (in english) is not editable anymore. The italian flag appears in the edit panel, but nothing else, no editing interface at all, just an empty panel. If I click on "manage translations" it appears that only the english one is available, but if I try to add an italian one (trying to have the article appear) nothing happens.
So for now I have left what seems to work, that is

[RegionalSettings]
Locale=ita-IT
TextTranslation=enabled
ContentObjectLocale=eng-GB

but I don't really understand the meaning of this.
question:
1) What is happening? Why the editing is no longer possible? Why the "manage translations" is messed up?
2) What do ContentObjectLocale exactly does anyway?

Thanks,
Giovanni

Hi Giovanni,

in INI file is comment:

# The default language for content objects
# Note: Changing this can have catastrophic consequences
# since there might not be any content objects with
# the selected language. Instead the content/translations
# page should be used for adding/removing translations.
